Potvin Rejoins Panthers Broadcasting Team
A familiar voice would return to Panthers’ televised matches this season given Florida Fox sports rehiring of Potvin (Denis) as the color analyst.
Denis would be rejoining Steve Goldstein’s play-by-play voice in Fox booth post a 5 year hiatus from the group. He stopped working for the organization after 2008-09 season – the popular voice was originally hired by Florida Panthers prior to its maiden game in the year 1993.
In the year 2010, Denis shifted to his homeland & called Senators matches for Sportsnet. He had been working there for the last 4 seasons. He was available following TSN’s take-over of Ottawa’s game broadcasting activities starting this very season.
However, Potvin’s rehire at Florida Fox would not mean no-job for his replacement. With Denis filling up his old shoes, his replacement would get new tasks on broadcasts.
Lindsay (Bill) who has paired with Goldstein is the past half- decade would continue with his role as the analyst during the intermissions. He would also work on postgame and pregame shows.
According to announcements from the plain sailing facbook pge, Lindsay would also be doing some sideline tasks during the matches. Besides, he has been entrusted with the responsibility to report from in between benches on some selective broadcasts.
Potvin comes with a really remarkable ice hockey career. The man is a 4-time winner of Stanley Cup during his prestigious “Hall of Fame” period with Islanders. He started to work as color analyst with Florida broadcasts in its inaugural session in the year 1993.
The man has worked with some really big names while his stint with the Florida Panthers. Some of the most revered names he has worked with are Dave Strader, Jiggs McDonald, Jeff Rimer & of course Goldstein. Potvin & Goldstein became Florida’s TV team in the year 2007.
